Acronis has unveiled new artificial intelligence tools for managed service providers, marking the next phase of its AI-native strategy.

The new products include a unified console, an intelligence layer, a service desk with automated ticket workflows, and a workflow studio for automation design. Acronis is offering them through a single platform for technicians, business teams, and AI agents working in the same environment.

The announcement expands Acronis' push into software that helps managed service providers handle protection, infrastructure, management, and automation from one place. It also includes new migration features for the company's Cyber Frame infrastructure platform and an open-source software delivery project called Constructor Fabric, developed with Constructor Group and Virtuozzo.

At the centre of the update is Acronis Cyber Console, a single workspace for protection, management, automation, and infrastructure. Alongside it, Acronis Cyber Intelligence is designed to give service providers visibility across operations, customer contracts, and protected endpoints, helping them identify service gaps and commercial opportunities.

Acronis Service Desk is designed to automate parts of ticket handling, including enrichment, analysis, and remediation. It will support integrations that bring in context and actions from other parts of a provider's technology estate.

Acronis Cyber Studio, meanwhile, is a workspace for creating both deterministic and agentic workflows. Users will be able to describe automations in natural language while keeping oversight of how those workflows run.

The move reflects growing competition among technology vendors seeking to embed artificial intelligence in day-to-day IT operations for service providers. Rather than sell stand-alone AI products, Acronis is presenting the latest release as an integrated operating environment designed to reduce the need to move between separate tools.

Jan-Jaap Jager, Chief Executive Officer at Acronis, outlined the company's approach.

"AI-native is not a feature label for Acronis. It is the design principle we used for our platform, and it is the approach that guides how we build and operate our products and how we help partners run and grow their businesses," said Jan-Jaap Jager, Chief Executive Officer at Acronis.

"Our goal is to give MSPs one environment in which people and AI agents can work together securely, transparently, and at scale. The products Acronis is delivering this year bring that goal to life," Jager said.

Migration options

Acronis also expanded the role of Cyber Frame, its infrastructure platform, by adding migration workflows for workloads moving from VMware and Microsoft Azure. The process supports staged migration and controlled cutover to either Cyber Frame Cloud, hosted by Acronis, or Cyber Frame Local, hosted by partners.

That creates another route for managed service providers and cloud service providers looking to shift customer systems to a different infrastructure stack. The migration angle may be notable at a time when many service providers are reassessing platform choices and commercial terms in cloud and virtualisation markets.

Paul Maritz, former Chief Executive Officer of VMware and former Chairman of the Acronis Board, commented on the product's role.

"Acronis Cyber Frame is a cloud offering designed for MSPs and to be sold through MSPs," said Paul Maritz, former Chief Executive Officer of VMware and former Chairman of the Acronis Board.

"It's an integrated platform with infrastructure, backup, disaster recovery, security, remote access and automation all built in. It's the most comprehensive solution option, easy to manage and offering customers a strong migration path forward from where they are today," Maritz said.

Channel focus

Acronis framed the broader strategy around what it calls "By AI, With AI, For AI", covering the use of AI in product development, the inclusion of AI and automation in core services, and support for partners managing more AI-heavy customer environments. The company has steadily broadened that platform this year with launches spanning archival storage, managed detection and response, AI governance, and infrastructure.

The latest package is aimed squarely at the managed services channel, where providers are under pressure to improve margins while dealing with more complex customer estates and heavier operational workloads. Automation in ticket handling, issue detection, and workflow creation has become a central theme across the sector as vendors pitch tools that can reduce manual effort.

Rob Rae, Corporate Vice President of Community and Partner Experience at Pax8, said the opportunity for partners was immediate.

"The AI opportunity for the channel is here now, but capturing it will require partners to invest in the journey rather than wait for comprehensive directives," said Rob Rae, Corporate Vice President of Community and Partner Experience at Pax8.

"Acronis is putting the platform, intelligence and automation in place to help MSPs operate more autonomously and lead the next era of managed services," Rae said.

Open-source project

Separate from the managed services software updates, Acronis joined Constructor Group and Virtuozzo to launch Constructor Fabric, an open-source software delivery project under the Apache 2.0 licence. It will be governed by the independent Constructor Fabric Foundation.

The project is described as an AI fabric for software as a service that allows AI to define, build, and run software using reusable components, operational automation, and measurement tools. Acronis said its partners and customers will be able to use it to build applications and extend the Acronis platform for their own requirements.

Acronis said its Cyber Platform is used by more than 21,000 service providers to protect more than 750,000 businesses.
