Integrity360 has partnered with Chartered Accountants Ireland to provide cyber security services for the organisation and its members. The agreement covers a body representing nearly 40,000 members and 8,600 students.

As its membership and international reach have grown, Chartered Accountants Ireland has invested in its cyber security arrangements. Headquartered in Dublin and Belfast, the body wanted stronger governance, specialist direction and executive-level oversight as cyber risks became harder to identify and assess.

Under the agreement, Integrity360 has introduced a dedicated Chief Information Security Officer service alongside a managed detection and response system. Together, the services are intended to give the institute continuous visibility over potential risks, with round-the-clock monitoring and response delivered through Integrity360's Security Operations Centre.

The work also includes regular cyber risk reporting to support governance and allow internal teams at Chartered Accountants Ireland to focus on broader strategic priorities. Integrity360 has also helped shape the organisation's wider cyber security strategy.

The institute is the largest professional body on the island of Ireland and represents members in more than 100 countries. Its role in educating students and supporting members means it holds a wide range of data and carries responsibilities beyond those of a conventional membership body.

Alan Murphy, Head of IT at Chartered Accountants Ireland, outlined the organisation's rationale for the move.

"For Chartered Accountants Ireland, cybersecurity is more than an IT function. It is a critical component of protecting members, maintaining trust, and safeguarding the Institute's reputation and integrity. As a trusted partner, Integrity360 is firmly embedded as a central component of our cyber function. This 24/7 expertise means that our organisation can act confidently and make better-informed decisions when it comes to emerging risks, new technology and changing regulations," Murphy said.

The partnership reflects a wider trend among professional bodies and other member-based organisations turning to outside specialists for senior cyber security expertise and always-on monitoring, rather than building every layer of that function in-house. For organisations with international operations, the challenge is not only technical defence but also maintaining governance structures that keep pace with changing standards and regulatory demands.

Integrity360's Chief Information Security Officer service is designed to provide strategic guidance and risk management support, while the managed detection and response element focuses on monitoring and responding to threats. In this case, the combination is intended to help Chartered Accountants Ireland maintain oversight of both operational risks and longer-term security planning.

Integrity360 operates across Europe, Africa, the Caribbean and North America. It has more than 850 employees, including more than 585 cyber security professionals, and runs six Security Operations Centres in Dublin, Sofia, Madrid, Stockholm, Rome and Cape Town.

Its client base spans sectors including financial services, insurance, government, healthcare, retail, telecommunications and utilities. The company received investment from August Equity and has been expanding internationally under Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Ian Brown.

Kias Carroll, Strategic Client Partner at Integrity360, said: "The cyber security landscape is constantly evolving, posing challenges to organisations in Ireland and beyond. The CISO and managed detection solutions enable Chartered Accountants Ireland to strengthen their cybersecurity posture and provide peace of mind regarding potential threats to the organisation.

"The varied nature of Chartered Accountants Ireland's work across Ireland and around the world means it must be vigilant not only to cyber risks but also to evolving regulatory frameworks that can add complexity to everyday operations. Our team provides expertise across IT frameworks, security protocols and procedures, and understands the critical importance of good governance. Together, this helps Chartered Accountants Ireland monitor its environment and keep the organisation running smoothly."
