IRONSCALES has appointed Laura Beaulieu as Chief Marketing Officer, adding her to the email security company's senior leadership team as it expands its AI-focused product push.

She will oversee brand, demand generation and go-to-market strategy, and help shape the marketing organisation as IRONSCALES looks to grow its platform beyond email security into broader protection for digital communications.

Her appointment comes amid a wider leadership build-out at IRONSCALES. Recent additions include Chief Operating Officer Steve McKenzie, Chief Strategy Officer Steve Malone and Senior Vice President of Research & Development Amit Bluman.

Beaulieu brings more than 15 years of experience in B2B software marketing. Most recently, she was Vice President of Marketing at Holistiplan, where she helped double the user base from 25,000 to 50,000 in 18 months.

She also founded GrowthLoops.io, a training business focused on marketing teams using AI tools and agents. That background aligns with IRONSCALES' emphasis on what it describes as agentic AI in cybersecurity and marketing operations.

Broader threat focus

IRONSCALES is positioning itself around a widening set of threats linked to digital communications. In addition to phishing and business email compromise, it points to account takeover and deepfake risks, particularly in workplace tools such as Microsoft Teams.

Its platform includes a Red Teaming Agent designed to anticipate likely attack patterns, a Phishing SOC Agent for incident investigation and a Phishing Simulation Agent for employee training. It also offers identity verification for Microsoft Teams meetings through its Deepfake Protection product.

The shift reflects a broader change in cyberattacks as generative AI tools make it easier for criminals to personalise messages, mimic senior executives and conduct social engineering at scale. Research the company cited from Osterman Research found that 88% of organisations experienced a security incident in the past year that undermined trust in digital communications.

That framing puts marketing alongside product strategy in the company's next stage of expansion. For IRONSCALES, the role extends beyond brand management to explaining a changing threat landscape to customers and partners.

Beaulieu addressed that in a statement about her appointment.

"Email is where most breaches begin, and it is rarely where they end. Adversaries now use AI to earn trust with one convincing message, then follow it with a deepfake executive on a Teams call or a quiet account takeover, waiting for the right moment to strike. In the AI era, trust has to be proven in every message, every call, and every meeting. IRONSCALES protects the moments that matter, from the inbox to the meeting, so people can trust what they read, see, and hear. With IRONSCALES at their side, security leaders can face what comes next, knowing their people are protected. Telling that story boldly, and building a brand worthy of it, is why I'm here," said Laura Beaulieu, Chief Marketing Officer, IRONSCALES.

Market positioning

IRONSCALES sells an API-based platform that integrates with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. It says the service combines AI-driven detection, automation and threat intelligence drawn from a network of security professionals, customers and managed service provider partners.

The business says it works with more than 18,000 organisations worldwide and draws on a community of more than 36,000 security professionals. That installed base gives it a sizeable audience as it tries to sharpen its market position in a crowded email and communications security sector.

McKenzie said the appointment is part of that effort to strengthen the company's identity in the market.

"IRONSCALES has always pushed the edge of what AI can do in security, from machine learning powered by our global community to agentic capabilities that anticipate, investigate, and act on their own. Laura brings the strategic vision to make IRONSCALES the defining name in that story, and to bring that innovation to market with the vision, ambition, and conviction this moment calls for," said Steve McKenzie, Chief Operating Officer, IRONSCALES.
