N-able has expanded its relationship with Climb Channel Solutions to cover distribution in the UK and Ireland, extending a partnership that has operated in North America for five years.

Under the arrangement, Climb will distribute N-able's security, data protection and endpoint management products in both markets. The agreement targets the reseller channel as businesses face growing pressure to strengthen cyber preparedness and maintain operations during disruptions.

The expansion comes as organisations in the UK and Ireland face a higher cyber risk environment and tighter regulatory scrutiny. Technology suppliers and distributors are also competing for a larger share of spending by managed service providers and value-added resellers that advise smaller and mid-sized organisations on security and recovery planning.

N-able said its platform is designed to support customers before, during and after a cyber incident. Through Climb, reseller partners in the UK and Ireland will also receive training, sales support and access to business development programmes.

That local distribution model remains central to how many software vendors reach the fragmented reseller market. Rather than building a direct field operation in every territory, suppliers often rely on specialist distributors to recruit partners, provide commercial support and manage channel enablement.

Jon Bartholomew, Vice President, Global Channel Sales at N-able, linked the decision to market conditions in Britain and Ireland.

"Organisations today face relentless cyberthreats, rising regulatory scrutiny, and increasing pressure to maintain operations," said Jon Bartholomew, Vice President, Global Channel Sales at N-able.

"As the UK's regulatory landscape evolves, businesses need practical ways to help customers stay ahead of risk and respond with confidence when incidents occur. Together with Climb, we're making it easier for UK and Irish resellers to access the solutions, expertise, and support they need to protect customers, minimise downtime, and restore operations faster," Bartholomew said.

Climb already distributes a range of specialist technology products and has worked with N-able in North America for several years. The new remit extends that relationship into two markets where demand for cyber insurance readiness, incident response planning and operational resilience has become more prominent in buying decisions.

Channel focus

The agreement reflects the continued importance of indirect sales in the security software market. Many vendors depend on managed service providers and resellers not only to sell products but also to package monitoring, backup, endpoint oversight and recovery services into longer-term customer contracts.

For distributors, that creates an opportunity to add vendors whose products fit broader managed service offerings. It also increases the importance of training and partner incentives, particularly in markets where resellers are weighing multiple supplier relationships.

Gerard Brophy, Chief Revenue Officer at Climb, said the company saw an opportunity to build on the results of its North American partnership.

"Following strong momentum with N-able in North America, we're excited to extend that success to the UK and Irish markets," said Gerard Brophy, Chief Revenue Officer at Climb.

"N‐able's business resilience vision, combined with its channel-first approach and comprehensive portfolio, creates a compelling opportunity for our reseller community to grow revenue while helping customers navigate today's more demanding security and compliance landscape. N-able's platform and partner-first approach make it an ideal addition to our portfolio, enabling partners to deliver greater customer value while accelerating long-term growth," Brophy said.

N-able says it serves more than 500,000 organisations worldwide. The company is framing the UK and Ireland expansion around demand from customers seeking cyber protection, operational continuity and recovery support through channel partners rather than direct procurement alone.

Resellers signed through Climb will also have access to partner incentives, dedicated channel support and enablement resources. Those additions are likely to matter as distributors and software suppliers try to persuade service providers to consolidate more of their security and operational tooling with fewer vendors.
