ROCTEL doubles infrastructure footprint with Servecentric

Servecentric has expanded its partnership with ROCTEL, a move that will see ROCTEL double its infrastructure footprint with the Dublin data centre and connectivity provider.

The enlarged agreement supports ROCTEL's managed services business as it adds infrastructure for cybersecurity operations and AI-enabled customer platforms. It also extends a six-year relationship between the two Irish companies.

The expansion will strengthen the systems behind ROCTEL's Network Management Centre, Security Operations Centre and Firewall Management Centre. The added infrastructure is expected to help it manage larger customer environments and support further growth in managed services.

Servecentric supplies the underlying infrastructure for ROCTEL's managed services platform, including networking and data centre facilities designed to keep its cloud environment available as demand rises.

The agreement comes as managed service providers face growing demand for cybersecurity, network resilience and support for AI-related workloads. The sector is also under pressure to provide more robust infrastructure as clients seek help with compliance and managing increasingly complex technology estates.

ROCTEL has positioned itself in that market through networking and security services. It said it was the first managed service provider in Ireland to achieve Cisco Powered SD-WAN service provider status, which it described as a significant milestone for the local managed networking market.

Growth plans

The latest expansion forms part of a broader investment programme at ROCTEL. Over the past three years, it said, the company has invested in its people, cybersecurity operations, customer infrastructure and managed service platforms.

Those investments are intended to prepare ROCTEL for larger and more complex contracts. The expanded infrastructure arrangement with Servecentric is also linked to the development of its HyperCloud platform and regional growth ambitions.

For Servecentric, the agreement strengthens its role as an infrastructure partner for Irish technology businesses that want to keep core systems in domestic facilities. The company is headquartered in a Tier III data centre in Dublin and focuses on colocation, cloud and connectivity services.

Market pressure

The partnership expansion underlines how infrastructure decisions are becoming more central to managed services companies as they broaden their offerings beyond traditional networking support. Cybersecurity monitoring, firewall management and AI-related services all place greater demands on uptime, compute resources and secure connectivity.

For providers such as ROCTEL, that means increasing investment not only in customer-facing services but also in the data centre and cloud environments behind them. ROCTEL said the new arrangement would give it a more resilient foundation to meet customer demand across Ireland and in other markets.

ROCTEL's profile has also risen through industry rankings and award nominations. It ranked 39th in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Ireland in 2025 and later received five nominations in the Tech Excellence Awards, including for Company of the Year and Managed Security Service Provider.
